Every step in a demo carries a target that marks where to click and a tooltip that carries the words. This page covers restyling both, turning a target off, and setting an appearance delay.
Targets and tooltips are what turn a sequence of captured screens into a guided walkthrough. You set them per step in the Demo Maker Pro editor, alongside the step list. They work identically on browser steps and on desktop captures.
Each step includes a Target that marks where you clicked. It shows viewers where to focus and where to click next. You can restyle that target, resize it, or turn it off entirely.
Turning the target off makes the step advance by the tooltip's Back and Next buttons instead. That is useful for a step where you want to explain something rather than point at a control. The Target tab warns you if a step would end up with no way forward at all.
A step captured with Desktop Capture arrives with its target box in the middle of the screen, because there is no page element to measure. Drag it onto whatever you are pointing at.
